Here, Alexus shares why she decided to become a behavior interventionist, what she enjoys most about working with the Cross Country Education team and schools, and what advice she has for behavior interventionists embarking on their careers.</p><h3>Why did you become a behavior interventionist?</h3><p>When I was younger, I watched my mom’s and grandma’s passion for education create spaces that were fun and inviting for everyone. They both taught pre-school children, but they did not speak English, so I was always amazed at the constancy and determination they had to reach and connect with not just the students but the parents as well. This began my origin of not only wanting to help others outside of academics but also expanding the human experience with genuine connection. Being a behavioral interventionist has been my favorite career field so far due to the simple fulfillment and joy of helping others and reaching targets to create better social experiences for everyone.</p><h3>What do you like about working with Cross Country Education as a behavior interventionist?</h3><p>Cross Country Education has been great with connecting me with great schools and great staff.</p><h3>What have you liked about your experience working at schools with Cross Country Education?</h3><p>I am big on being a team player to accomplish greater goals, and there hasn’t been a time I haven’t felt supported by the company and for that I am most thankful. It takes a village to build true community, and Cross Country is working hard on building just that.</p><h3>What advice would you give to those starting out as behavior interventionists?</h3><p>Anyone looking to join the field, or the team should always approach the position with love, kindness, and patience.
