<h2>Meet Estefanía, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Itinerant
	Teacher</h2>


 Cross Country Education is excited to announce that our Special Education
 Provider of the Year for 2022-23 is Estefanía! Estefanía, a devoted and passionate Deaf and Hard
 of Hearing Itinerant Teacher, is the first-ever recipient of this annual
 award. She was chosen based on feedback from the schools she has worked with
 this year and our internal Cross Country Education team. Turns out, everyone’s
 a fan!



 Estefanía is known for her dedication to helping students succeed when faced
 with life’s toughest challenges. She can see infinite potential in students,
 even when they can’t. She teaches kids that willingness to work hard is the
 key to success and helps them make incremental changes that add up to
 phenomenal growth!



 Congratulations, Estefanía, on being our Special Education Provider of the
 Year! You earned it. We’re honored to work with you and proud that you choose
 to represent CCE!

 Here's what Estefanía has to say about how she has made a difference, what she
 enjoys most about working with the Cross Country Education team and schools,
 and what her kids would be surprised to learn about her.


How long have you worked in education? 
I’ve worked in education for eight years.

How long have you worked for Cross Country Education?
I’ve worked with Cross Country Education for one school year.


 What do you like about working with Cross Country Education?


 I enjoy the versatility that comes with working with students of different age
 groups and the opportunity to collaborate with staff members across the
 different campuses.


 Describe a time when you felt you made a difference in a student's
 progression.


 This year, I had the opportunity to work with a student who was new to the
 country and, unfortunately, had severe language deprivation. This student is
 deaf and had not been given the opportunity to learn American Sign Language. I
 began to work with him on a regular basis, and his language acquisition
 flourished. Within a matter of weeks, he was using ASL as his primary mode of
 communication. Although it is a marathon, not a race, I am so proud of the
 phenomenal progress we have made throughout the short time we have been
 working together.


 What is the number one lesson you hope to teach the students you work
 with?


 I hope they learn they are capable of achieving anything they want as long as
 they are willing to put the work and effort in.


What would students be surprised to find out about you?
They would be surprised to know that I am originally from Texas.
