 Lynn College of Nursing recently co-hosted a webinar which included the
 first-hand experiences of numerous COVID-19 frontline healthcare workers. The
 webinar was live streamed at 3:00 p.m. ET on August 19, 2020 and was co-hosted
 by Hank Drummond, PhD, RN, Senior Vice President/Chief Clinical Officer at
 Cross Country Healthcare and Safiya George, PhD, APRN-BC, FAANP, Dean and
 Professor at FAU’s Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing.



 The webinar, titled, “COVID-19: Lessons Learned from Nurses, Doctors and
 Frontline Workers,” began with Doctor Drummond sharing a number of stories
 relayed to him from COVID-19 frontline healthcare workers who either spoke to
 him directly or relayed their stories via the Cross Country Healthcare COVID
 Crisis Hotline, which has received more than 6,000 calls since it was
 established in March of 2020. That was followed by a presentation from Marc
 Doyle, RN, BSN, MBA, PhD, PMP, a COVID-19 Tier 1 Essential Infrastructure
 Worker who shared his experiences at a COVID-19 public testing site in South
 Florida. Finally, May G. Rosenzweig, MSN, PhD Candidate, detailed her
 experience adapting to the pandemic and treating COVID-19 patients as an adult
 nurse practitioner within a private medical practice.



 This webinar provided valuable insights from the frontline workers’ collective
 experiences with COVID-19 as well as a roadmap to creating a playbook for
 dealing with future crises of this kind. It is a must-listen for healthcare
 professionals at both the bedside and the executive levels whether they have
 been directly impacted by the pandemic or not.
