  I think the major attraction to Hospital Medicine is the immediate
  gratification or satisfaction from observing results after implementing a
  treatment plan. Also, the diagnosis, is either confirmed or ruled out in a
  short period of time.

  What advice would you give someone starting out in your position as an
  Internal Medicine/Hospitalist?
</h2>

<p>
  I think the focus has to always center on quality patient care, no matter what
  else is happening in the hospital. My advice would be to give the same care to
  these patients as if they are a family member.
