<p>February 3 – 7 is National School Counseling Week and we want to take this opportunity to recognize school counselors and their critical role when it comes to a student’s educational journey.&nbsp;</p>

<p>School counselors help students of all ages and at all levels from elementary school through college in focusing on their academic development as well as social and emotional development.&nbsp; In addition, school counselors have a valuable role in assisting students determine which career path is right for them and determining the best route to get there.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This week-long celebration is in honor of the integral role School Counselors play and the life-long impact that each School Counselor makes in the lives of students.&nbsp; This year’s theme is “School Counselors: Helping Build Better Humans”.&nbsp; The <a href="https://www.schoolcounselor.org/school-counselors-members/about-asca-(1)/national-school-counseling-week" target="_blank">American School Counselor Association</a>&nbsp;has a tremendous cache of resources and ideas to help you celebrate School Counselors and show your appreciation.</p>

<p>This week is more than recognition. It is an opportunity to educate the public about the critical work School Counselors do every day that directly impacts the quality of education extended by educational institutions across the country.</p>
