We want you to have a wonderful experience and the assignment should exceed your expectations and desires. That being said, here are some additional topics you should consider before any travel assignment:
	
Location, location, location! Are you where you want to be? One of the exciting parts of travel nursing today is that nurses can go to any location, city or destination. Just tell us where you want to go!
	
Contract length: Are you interested in a short-term or long-term assignment? If the assignment works well for you, are you willing to extend and stay at this location for a longer period of time?
	
Housing: Are you providing your own housing? Do you live in your own RV, perhaps? Staying with friends or family? Or, do you need housing provided? How large of a space do you need? Do you have pets? Children? Family? These are all things to consider when thinking about housing needs.
	
Insurance: Are you in need of health, dental, vision, life or accident insurance? Do you need coverage for additional members of your family? Or will you be covered by a spouse or a partner’s health plan? Make certain to speak with your recruiter about your individual needs.
	
Transportation: Do you have a car that you will bring with you? Or do you normaly use public transportation? Maybe you prefer to use Uber or Lyft to get around. Again, please communicate your desires to your recruiter.
	
Continuing education: Are you continuing your education online? If so, are you looking for tuition reimbursement assistance? Know what your options are.
	
Extending or converting to permanent staff: Does this location extend contracts and if you like it at this location do you have the option to convert to perm staff? All important items to fully understand before you accept your assignment.
	
Culture: Ask about the culture of your unit and the expectations of a travel nurse. Ask how many others have worked at this location and what is their feedback. May sure you feel like you are a fit to this assignment.
