<h2><strong>United States Capital Building</strong><strong> </strong></h2>

<p>The U.S. Capital Building was built in the center of the district for a reason. Visitors love to visit the capital and the surrounding area, including the National Mall.</p>

<p>This visit is especially attractive in the spring when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. But any time of the year, this is a central meeting place for tourists and travelers. With the iconic pool and domed capital building, it&#39;s the perfect place for a D.C. selfie &ndash; along with some street food. You need to get tickets to get the exceptional view from the top.</p>

<p>Of course, there&#39;s always the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. If you&#39;re there partially to remember America&#39;s presidents, you won&#39;t want to forget this central landmark.</p>

<p>However, the Lafayette Square adjacent to the White House is another major attraction. Named for a hero of the Revolutionary War, this 7-acre public park is sometimes called the &ldquo;President&rsquo;s Park&rdquo; &ndash; it&#39;s had many uses over the years, but now serves as a prime spot for tourists and locals to meander around in proximity to the rest of these historic landmarks and monuments.</p>
